Healthcare & Injury Prevention Education
Lee County Injury Prevention Coalition member organizations provide healthcare education and injury prevention classes for all age groups, from infants and children to the elderly and the disabled.

These organizations include:
  • ACT
  • American Red Cross
  • Estero Fire Dept.
  • Lee County C.A.R.E.S.
  • Lee County Health Dept.
  • Lee Memorial Hospital
  • Southwest Florida Medical
  • Reserve Corps.
  • Safe Kids Lee/Collier County
  • Stepwise Lee
Coalition members offer helpful information on a variety of health-related topics. Top priorities identified in the community health needs assessment include asthma, diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, and outpatient access.

LCIPC members provide education, health screenings, a speakers’ bureau and physician lecture series, as well as other wellness activities throughout the year.

To help improve the health of the community, LCIPC members are available for:
  • Breathing, with the assistance of respiratory therapists
  • Asthma screenings
  • Dietitians and nutritionists, who offer cooking tips and recipes for healthy eating
  • Sleep professionals, who diagnose and treat obstacles to restful sleep
  • Diabetes education
  • Stroke
  • And more
